Seven years separate the end of Trace A Line in 2016 from the launch of Early Reflections in 2023.
In the meantime, the electronic music scene had grown and plenty of talented artists had emerged. As the discoveries piled up, the urge to take part again slowly came back.
Early Reflections came out of that impulse in 2023. The project was conceived as a continuation of Trace A Line, picking up work that had been interrupted seven years earlier, while keeping the original intention intact.
17 mixes were published between 2023 and 2026, with a particular focus on young talents from a range of scenes and musical aesthetics. The complete archive can be listened to above, and the interviews and reviews that have been published are also available separately on the site.
The project came to an end after three years, not to disappear but to shift into a third iteration, launching today: Magic Display.

Entre-temps, la scène électronique a pris de l'ampleur et de nombreux artistes talentueux ont émergé. Au fur et à mesure de nouvelles découvertes, l'envie d'y reprendre part est peu à peu revenue.
Early Reflections naît donc de cette volonté en 2023. Le projet est pensé comme la continuité de Trace A Line pour reprendre un travail interrompu sept ans plus tôt, tout en gardant la même intention de départ.
17 mixes ont été publiés entre 2023 et 2026, avec un accent particulier mis sur de jeunes talents issus de scènes et d’esthétiques musicales multiples. La totalité de l’archive est disponible en écoute ci-dessus, et les interviews et chroniques réalisés sont publiés à part sur le site.
Le projet s'arrête finalement au bout de trois ans, non pour disparaître mais pour muer en une troisième itération qui voit le jour aujourd’hui : Magic Display.
